When Jon woke up in the early morning, he stretched out his arms and took a large yawn. The sunrise was about to start and he decided to welcome in the new day by watching from his window. It had been a really long time since the last time he had seen one. Jon rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He used to watch the sunrise daily when he was much younger with his grandfather and his older brother. Jon slowly slithered to the window and opened it without much effort. He smelled the morning dew and the fresh air and sighed in content. It was absolutely beautiful to watch the dark blue turn orange and pink from the horizon and radiated outward. After an hour of watching, Jon felt tired again and went back to his bed. As a teenager, watching the sunrise was less magical and more boring than he remembered. 'Maybe because I have access to an actual magic stone now.' he thought to himself. He looked at the ceiling blankly before he dozed off. Jon knew that after the attack on the school, it would be closed for a long time while they repaired things.
He was not concerned with even setting an alarm. From there, a few hours had passed. He was woken up with the ringing of his phone. He groaned as he blindly pat the floor and swished his tail to find it on the floor. It rang and rang on the floor without stopping. When finally he got it, he put it directly to his ear and answered it. "Hello?" he said, still sleepy. He did not know who he was actually talking to. Caller ID was an incredible tool. However, it was useless if you did not check it. "Good morning Jon." he heard a woman's chipper voice and he frowned. He looked at the screen, but it was not helpful. All it said on the screen was 'UNKNOWN'. That was very concerning for Jon. "This is Agent Mary Appleton with the FBI. The last two days have been very harrowing. There were explosions over the town's air space and damage to the streets two days ago. Yesterday, the school was a target of a terrorist attack. I was wondering if you would be free for a brief interview today." Jon was not sure where she was going and did not want to find out.
Jon gulped and said "I'm sorry, but I am very busy right now. I don't think I'll be able to do it." There was a pause on the other end of the line. "Oh, Jon. I'm sure you can find some time in the day to talk to us. In fact, I'm a block down right now and I can meet you at your house." He broke out into a cold sweat and said "Wait a minute. I'm really busy. I-I was about to go out on a date!" "I'll see you in five." was all she said before she hung up on Jon. It was really looking bad for Jon. He scrambled for his bag and looked for the box the stone was in. He found it and picked the stone out of the box. "I wish that Mary Appleton wasn't able to be violent with me or arrest me. I wish that Mouse was alive again and if someone did try to arrest me, Robin and Mouse would appear and interfere so I could escape." He was sure that he covered things well enough. Jon did have a dilemma on whether or not he should take the stone with him or not. If it was stolen, it would be bad. On the other hand, he might need to make some wishes.
