Sure thing. The "myths" thing...I understand it's a simplification, but it feels like a pretty grossly misleading one when it's about actual deities taking on (meta)human lives and not just people becoming things that look like characters people once told stories about. It's the essential difference between, say, Lucas (looks like a popular depiction of an angel, not actually one) and Selene (an actual, literal goddess.)
As far as infodumpery, the problem isn't with the information being presented; you're right, it wouldn't make much sense without it. It's just that the actual presentation feels pretty cursory and "let's hit all the salient points as quickly as possible."
