A magical object that, for instance, creates harem girls, can be used by anyone, and possibly create a lot of complications due to misuse by people that don't know what it is; the power to, say, create harem girls can only be used by me, and I would know how it works. That should settle which I should wish for.

People using wishes or another trickery to render me or someone else I trust unable to speak or to say the words "I wish" can be easily foiled by the stone itself.
-
The stone is a powerful artifact that is small in volume and that any idiot can use. That being so, taking it to a school filled with horny, immature teenagers and with at least one actively evil clique just might be a bad idea.

"May you live in interesting times" is an old Chinese curse that reflects ill intent towards the target. I'll remember that before ever wishing for "something interesting" to happen.
-
I will consider the possibility that someone heard about the stone. That said, I will have some reservations to most people entering my bedroom from now on.
-
If someone who despised me yesterday sees fit to come into my house today to get help with algebra lessons or whatever, I will wish them not to know anything about the stone.
