"Whoa, he said as the stone suddenly flashed.
"What are you doing in here?" Zoe's voice said from behind him.
He shoved the stone in his pocket suddenly and whirled around. Turning around felt odd somehow...like a wipe in a movie. The entire room looked different. It was Jon's room, but...it looked like Zoe's stuff.
Zoe looked at him. She didn't look angry so much as annoyed. "How many times have I told you to not come into my room when I'm not here? You or your friends?" She looked different...more mature somehow. She was wearing a robe and looked like she'd just come out of the shower down the hall.
"But..."
"What?" She said.
"Umm...nothing," he said, turning around. There was something odd about his voice as well. It sounded...deeper.
He rushed for the bathroom and locked the door, then gazed into the mirror. A fourteen year old version of himself was staring back at him. Taller, more mature...
"This can't be happening," he said.
