He quickly got ready for school, excited to get this day started. When he was finished, he grabbed for the stone and made a wish, not realizing that what he held in his hand was actually The Displacement Stone.
"I wish I'd get an A on that science test I have to take today, because I remembered the material," Jon said. The stone glowed. Part of him didn't want to make that wish, because it almost felt like cheating, but if he could get an A on the test, he'd pass the class for sure. And he didn't want to take the class over again.
The stone flashed. Then, a moment later, a shimmering wave appeared, passing through him and the room, like some sort of weird aftershock.
