The "new" Zoe Gibson (formerly Steve Farber, although she doesn't remember) was walking down one of the school hallways. And in her hand was the stone. As always, she was checking out the girls as she passed them by. And as always, most of them either looked at her disturbingly or just laughed.

This new version of Zoe Gibson was quite different than the old version. She had the personality of the original Steve, who had the nickname "The Stud" (because of his reputation with the ladies). Definitely no longer gothic in the slightest, she had a toned and athletic body, and a short boyish haircut. A lot of people called her a tomboy, and growing up, that's what she was. But more recently, especially after she started attending high school, she began to realize that she was more than just a tomboy. She was a lesbian. And by now, most of the school knew it. So much so that she attained a nickname for herself: Zoe "The Lesbo" Gibson. But she didn't mind it. She was a lesbian and she didn't feel embarrassed for it.

As she walked down the hallway, seeing girls turn away in disgust or just laugh at her, Zoe thought about how there were no other girls like her at the school. Maybe if some of those girls she passed were more like her ...

She looked down at the stone in her hand and smiled.
