"Thanks mom, breakfast was great." Jon said to his mother as he got up to leave for school.
Just before Jon was through the door to leave his mother shouted a reminder to him, "Jon don't forget that you need to be home before seven tonight as I will need your help this evening moving something out of the attic."
"Alright mom, I'll be sure to be back before then." Jon replied.
After Jon pulled the door closed behind him, he was puzzled about what his mom told him. He did remember her asking him to help her, but figured that he must have forgotten about it or just didn't hear it when she told him the first time.
When Jon got close to Karyn's house house he yelled in her direction when he saw her coming out of her house. Running up to meet his best friend as she stepped off the porch he said, "Hey Karyn, have you thought about someway to fix the mistake you made yesterday with that accidental wish?"
"I think that I have a way to fix it, but I want you to tell me what you think before I borrow the stone and make another mistake," she said, as they both walked in the direct of school.
"Sure, what's your idea?" Jon asked.
"Well, I thought that we should be sure to put a way out on the wishes, so that if something goes wrong we can cancel the wish. Like this, I wish that the reason my hair is blond is that I dyed it with a magical dye and that it will wash out the next time I shampoo it. What do you think? And, I can say that the reason my breasts are so big is that I used a magical breast enlargement cream that will wear off in a day or two."
"Hey, that's pretty good. But, it might be safer to say that your wearing a wig and a wonder bra with inserts," Jon added.
"Damn Jon, that's a lot better. And here I thought that I was the smart one, you didn't make a wish last night to be smarter did you?" Karyn said with a grin of her face that let him know that she was having fun with him.
"No, but that's not a bad idea. I think that we really should do that, how do you think we should word it? I don't want to make a wish until we both go over the wording for errors first," Jon told her with a serious look on his face. "In fact, since we are going to be going over this awhile, let's skip school and hide out in the park. We can just make a wish later to be excused for missing classes today."
"Let's do it, I'll race you there, first one to the old fort makes the first wish." Karyn said as she started running.
Jon, just grinned and took off after her.
