"I wish I knew why Ms. Wright knew about the stone, and why she wanted it." Zoe wished.
Knowledge of what happened that morning flowed into Zoe's head. She remembered showing Stephanie the rock, Stephanie making a wish, and her swapping ages with Mr. Collins. She knew what stone she had, and why it had changed things.
"The stone swaps your age with the closest person to you while it grants your wish." Zoe began explaining to Athena as she looked in her direction.
"That would explain a few things." A slightly taller, more developed Athena said to a freshman Zoe. Being in earshot she remembered the old reality, and being the closest she had swapped with Zoe. But what confused Zoe was why Athena was holding the stone.
"Why did you take the stone?" Zoe questioned the formerly younger girl.
Athena thought for a few moments before asking a question of her own. "How many months apart was your birthday from your brother Jon's?"
"Mine was a few months before his." Zoe answered, wondering where Athena was going with this.
"It may be because of your brother. You and he don't share a birthday, so you can't be twins. If you and I swapped ages your mom couldn't have had kids twice within that short a time. But if I were her daughter instead there would be no issues, and I guess I'd get the stone instead." The elder girl explained.
