With nothing else to do, I decided to go back to Adius and his hut. He was waiting for me and smiled. I decided to try one last time for a meaningful quest and asked "Do you have any tasks or problems you would like me to do for you?" He looked confused before shaking his head. "No. I can do everything that I need on my own. You don't need to worry. As my concubine, it's my duty to help you and keep you safe. Your duty in return is to support me with your love and bear strong children for me" he said. I hung my head. That was not something I wanted to hear. He seemed to catch on and hugged me. "I know that you might miss your freedom, but I'll make sure you are well taken care of" he said. He then looked at me and asked "We had talked about it earlier and all, but would you like me to mount you? We might find that we're compatible" I was not entirely sure whether I wanted to do it or not. I was now in a female body and I would be on the receiving end of this. I would be lying if I said I was not curious about it. I was a virgin after all.
Adius was looking at my face, waiting for a positive response. I told him I would think about it. I had to check the main character menu. At the bottom was a section for the Ethics Codes. This determined how the players and world interfaced in some sensitive situations. There were three subcategories in the Ethics Code menu when you accessed it: Sexual, Violence and Age. Sexual Ethics referred to sexual relationships in the world. A player could toggle sexual relations broadly speaking, or fine tune it to what you were comfortable. Under the main toggle were five options. They were "Arousal/ Biological Cycles", "Sex with NPCs", "Sex with Players", "Rape" and the concerning "Ability to be Raped". Male and female players could get horny and/or simulate menstrual cycles or heats if they had non human forms. That was necessary for the family and child rearing mechanics. If you wanted a child you need to allow both "Arousal/ Biological Cycles" and the ability to have sex. Otherwise you would not be aroused and any "sex" would be a fuzzy feeling as the player's consciousness faded.
Violence Ethics referred to torture and mutilation. It had the two subcategories. Age Ethics referred to what was acceptable to have happen to children in the world. There were four subcategories under it. They were labeled as "Death", "Sexual Content", "Torture" and "Mutilation". If you did not want the ability to kill children, toggling off the option for "Death" would ensure children were never labeled as enemies and they would not participate in battles you are in. Even accidental damage would not count against their health bar. For the other settings, children's bodies would pixelate and not allow you to see those kinds of things happen. Since I was there, I decided to decide on what I would want. Because I did the randomization in the beginning, the ethics codes were randomized as well. In order to make a active decision, I turned everything off. With regards to sex, I did not see myself as a rapist and I did not want to be raped. I kept them off. I was female in this body and Suzie was a girl, so I was not keen on getting fucked by male players. That went as well.
That then left "Arousal/ Biological Cycles" and "Sex with NPCs". I turned those on because I wanted to at least try it. Adius was right in front of me after all. I turned them on. Each time I turned something on, it gave me a new warning and made me confirm it. Moving over to the Violence Ethics, I kept them both off. It sounded really cool to be able to do it, but it was a double edged sword. I certainly did not want my arms lopped off or my new body tortured by other people. With age, I put them all on. I was always annoyed by other games that made the kid characters invincible. I did not have any plans to be a child murderer and I was not into kids. That did not mean that I wanted them to have a pass in the world. If adults could get killed, children could too. Now that I was finished, I returned to the game. I smiled at him. "How about this: let's spar. If you win the fight, you can mount me. If I win, you have to convince the other warriors to give me tasks" I proposed. He looked confused. "I don't know if they would even if I asked them. Our warriors are strong enough to handle their own things" he said.
