I walked to the Moon Cathedral to see what I could get from them. There were several perks you could receive by joining a church. You would automatically get a buff to diplomacy between characters of the same religion. You also could spec into higher level classes such as nun, paladin, inquisitor, missionary and high priest. They wanted it so players from any beginner class would have a place in the church. As a soldier, I would be able to become a paladin. It would be nice to have a back up if the Order of Lancelot did not work out. Besides, joining a church would provide free healing from a cleric once per week. To be a cleric one had to join a church and pass their tests. The dev blog addressed concerns of prospective players that the cleric class had too many hurdles. In response they referred to the setting. "You are appearing in a new fantasy world. You don't have the innate ability to commune with their gods unless you decide to join and follow them. The same with the sorcerer class" it read.

The cathedral was large and gothic. The nave where the congregation was to sit had two aisles on either side. The lay people were not allowed to pass the front pews by the guards. There was still a lot of empty space ahead with white and yellow marbled floors. An iron altar was there. From there, five confessional booths on each side of the walls were waiting. Even further beyond them were two stalls for the choir. The framed an ivory baptismal font totally surrounded by sculptures of the moon in all its phases. Looking closer, I saw that they were part of the font. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Just beyond them was the sanctuary and the presbytery. There was the marble spiral staircase to the pulpit with ebony rails. The high altar was much larger and made out of gold. On the east side of the high altar was a wide walkway that was cordoned off by a low gate. Above the congregation was a large skylight that allowed people to see the sky. The window was covered at the moment. I assumed that it would open at night.

As it was still the morning, there were not many people in the cathedral. I was going to walk towards the front of the left aisle when I felt someone bump into my flank. I was in awe at my surroundings, so I did not hear anyone approach. I looked to the side and saw a young nun knocked on her butt. She was wearing beige robes with a yellow habit that had white trim and lining. She also had a moon amulet around her neck. "Forgive me stranger. It was my fault I was not looking where I was going" she said. I turned to fully face her and reached down for her hand. I helped her up and she thanked me. "Bless you stranger! Please excuse me" she said. I stopped her and asked for her name. She blushed and said "Sorry! My name is Fionna Grinlack. I was on my way to see my brother Broderick". I nodded and said "You must have been distressed. Is there anything I can help you with?" She blinked before looking down hesitantly. "I do have something on my mind. If you would her me, I would certainly be more at ease" she said after a moment.
