"Marie!" yelled Jon. "Give me those back!"
Then Jon froze at the sound of someone walking up to him. It wouldn't at all do to be seen by his parents asking for panties.
Marie seemed torn between being upset over something Jon couldn't figure out, and not wanting to give the panties back. She prepared to take them off but then stopped, as if she had a lot of reasons to both keep them and give them up.
"Why all the yelling?" said Jon's mother.
"It's, er..." replied Jon. "It's Marie. She's got, um, something of mine and I want it back."
"Do you, Marie?" said Jon's mother.
"I'm Mikey!" replied Marie. "I heard Jon say on the phone that there was something special about his panties and I put them on, but then I'm not Mikey any more. They feel special when I'm wearing them but I don't want to be a girl...."
"Well, they're not going to make you turn into a boy, and they don't even fit you. Now give them back." Somehow, Jon's mother didn't think there was anything unusual about Jon having panties. Like before, everyone seemed to think his new condition was normal. Marie, under the glare of her mother, slowly took off the panties. "Now put something on, and give Jon those panties back," she told Marie.
Marie said "I didn't change back...." and began to cry.
"If you're not going to give them back, I'm going to take them. These can go in the laundry and I don't want to see you taking Jon's things again." She snatched the panties out of Marie's hand and walked away to the restroom, probably to put the panties in the hamper. Then Jon returned to the restroom, retrieved the panties, put them on, and wished them clean since he didn't want to wear something his sister had just had on. At least he had gotten the magic panties back without any bad consequences. Meanwhile, Mikey, now Marie, had suddenly found that the clothes she had taken off as Mikey had changed to include a skirt....
