The hallways were always a clutter with people and information, and on top of all of that like a despotic ruler sat Sarah McMillan, head cheerleader and reigning bitch, beautiful and terrible as the dawn. She had earned her way to her throne with a sharp tongue, mostly natural beauty, and a "rule by fear" method. She only accepted the best, anything that displeased her was proudly and publicly disposed of, it was in this way she had trained her classmates, in whatever they did to think about what she might think of it. This was the best part of being Sarah, not the ability to have what she wanted, when she wanted, and how she wanted it. Not the fawning cute guys buying her things, not the feeling of local celebrity she got when she entered rooms. It was the fear, it was knowing that she was in charge and that one one was going to step out of line. She was queen of her world, and today all was not as usual in it.
She noticed Jon seemed to be working out. It was a surprise that Jon was noticed at all, but Sarah enjoyed that he seemed to be putting in at least some effort. The same could be said for his sister Zoe, who seemed to have stepped up her ridiculous Gothic game with some new make up tricks, while she looked better she still looked like a freak, and Sarah made sure Zoe knew that by not even noticing the work that Zoe had put in, nothing put a person in there place like being ignored.
Still as the day went on there was a buzz going around the school...something that threatened to worry Sarah, someone had made a video, the same type as she had the week before...and done it better. This would not stand.
Karyn was having a heck of a day, she had expected it to be just a normal day like most any other but for the first time in her life, she was getting looks. She was being noticed, people smiled in the halls and given her high fives as if she had done something brave. Then there was that moment when a cute guy had made eye contact while he was talking to another girl, as if Karyn was worth noticing. At first this freaked her out, she wasn't used to the attention nor did she know why she was getting it, the only thing she had done different was wear make up, but she had done that before without all this. The strange hit a peak when she had a run in with Zoe, which was pleasant if a little surprising; Zoe seemed to be fawning over her and had even done her make up the same way Karyn had, if in a gothic pallet. Then the video came up, Karyn was surprised anyone had noticed, it had been fun but it wasn't anything special. Then she saw it again later on someone phone in the hall, how did they know about. She looked up the video again. 51,045 views and 36,000 likes since last night. It hadn't even been 12 hours yet! Oh, shit...That explained why everyone seemed to be noticing her...she had gone viral! What did this mean? Were people going to come for her and offer her jobs? Was the media going to be at her house when she got home? Was she now famous?

The day kept getting stranger, when she realized the cute guy from the hall was actually Jon, he must have used a wish or something but he looked like he had been working out...wait did she like him? no...don't worry about that. Who was the girl he had been talking to? She seemed to have been flirting with him which was very unlike reality. Was she jealous? No. That's dumb it's Jon, don't worry about it.
In gym class one of the cheerleaders had asked to do the dance with Karyn on her own tik tok to bump up her followers, which apparently mattered. Karyn wasn't sure, but the girl had begged so they were about to start, when Sarah walked in. The room went silent. They all knew what was coming. But was Karyn ready for a dance off?
