She opened Zoe's door and peered inside. Immediately, she noticed a difference. Her black gothic bedroom had been transformed into a typical teenage girl's room. In fact, it looked very similar to the bedroom belonging to Karyn, who thought of herself as a normal girl.
Jon's mom seemed overly pleased with herself. And Jon felt relieved that his mom's wish was granted the way she intended.
"Can I have the stone back?" he asked his mom, holding his hand out.
His mom thought about it. She had gotten what she wanted, but she wanted to wish for more than just a normal daughter. So, why not make another wish? What was the harm? Sure, her son wanted the stone back, but given her maturity, wouldn't it make more sense if she made the wishes instead? She'd be doing everyone a great service. (Of course, she didn't know that this was the Sequential Stone, meaning that, although she would be able to make the next wish, she wouldn't be able to make the two wishes after that.)
So, without hesitation, she made her next wish. "I wish ..."
