"I wish Zoe wasn't a Goth girl," Jon's mom said. The stone glowed, granting her wish. She never got along with her daughter and that was mainly because of her lifestyle. If this stone really could grant wishes, then she couldn't hesitate from making Zoe into the kind of daughter she wanted.
"Mom!" Jon yelled. "I already told you what to wish for. Why did you say that?"
"Don't yell, Jon. You'll wake your sister." She smiled, wondering what her daughter would be like if she wasn't a Goth.
"Mom, you have no idea what you've just done. If you don't think wishes through, anything could happen. You could have made things worse."
"Ridiculous. What could be worse than having a Goth girl as a daughter?" she asked, walking out of her bedroom. On her way to Zoe's bedroom, she felt an anticipation that she hadn't felt since she was a little girl waiting to open presents on Christmas morning.
She opened Zoe's door and peered inside.
