She opened Zoe's door and peered inside. But what she found was not what she expected. Zoe's room still looked like it belonged to a Goth. She watched her daughter shift positions in bed and saw that she was no longer a girl, but instead, a boy. A fourteen-year old Goth boy.
"I ... I don't understand. That's not what I wished for," she said, stunned.
"Yeah, it is," Jon said. "You wished that she wasn't a Goth girl."
Jon's mom shook her head. What had she done? All she wanted was to make her daughter normal. But instead, she got this.
"Mom, give me back the stone. I may be able to fix this."
But his mom had other ideas. She felt obligated to fix this herself. And she was already formulating a wish that could do it.
"I wish I had a daughter, not a son," she said. Because her previous wish was the third wish made with the Sequential Stone, anyone could make the fourth wish. So, her wish was granted. But she wouldn't be able to make another wish until after two other people each made the next two wishes.
The stone glowed.
