When they arrived at school, Karyn slithered over to his and looked at him in surprise. "What did you do!? You look totally different than you did yesterday." she said. Jon nodded and said "Yeah. There was no way I was going to be a girl for a week. That would be disgusting." She crossed her arms and went off to her class. Lots of people were looking at them. However, on closer inspection, Jon realized that they were mostly focused at him. They all were interested in the hot girl known as Jennifer. He rolled his eyes and went to his homeroom. "Hi Jennifer." said Roy, the boy that had been waiting for Jennifer outside the room. "You look pretty today." he added. As Jon, he had known Roy. He was about six months from changing from a boy to a young man and a bit too shy to have luck with girls.
Jon befriended Roy. It appeared that Jennifer had befriended him as well. Only with Jon, it had been friends between two guys, nothing sexual at all. Which was to be expected. With Jennifer, it appeared that Roy was more than a bit interested in Jennifer as a girl. 'God, I hope that Roy isn't my boyfriend.' Jennifer prayed to herself. Roy made no attempt to hold Jennifer's hand, but he did hold open the door for him. Inside the room, Orion came up to him. Orion was a jock from the football team. He was a starter as a wide receiver. Orion smiled and said "How are you doing? You want to go on a date later?" Jon froze and said "Listen, I don't know. I really have to think about it." He smiled and said "Yeah. I'll be waiting Jennifer."
Another boy approached him as well. Jimmy was a gamer and music junky. He always had his large green headphones around his neck. "Want to listen to some music later? I remember that you were talking about starting in the Grand Theft Auto 5 online mode. I can help with that at your house." Jon was more likely to take that offer. He didn't use his new name. When he got to his desk, there was no chair. He did not need it anyway, and the day soon began. While he got lots of looks and even some catcalls as he slithered down the hallway, he didn't get any more offers for dates. It seemed that he was out of most of the guys league unless they had the confidence or status to approach. He held the stone and said "I wish Karyn was considered just as hot."
