Jon headed downstairs, feeling a little odd in Karyn’s favourite green sweater and jeans. It seemed that whatever had caused him to wear her clothes made it so that they fit him perfectly—almost as if they were made for him, despite the fact that he wasn’t a girl.

He thought briefly back to his conversation with Karyn. It seemed that he had gained her knowledge in math and vice versa. Could it simply be some kind of personality swap? But then, what was with the name changes? Jaryn? Jon paused. It seemed like a mix between his name and hers and... what was her name again? Konathan? Weird.

Entering the kitchen, Jon found his mother finishing preparing that evening’s meal. She still seemed the same. Same floral patterned blouse and pencil skirt that he had seen her wearing when he got home. So it seemed that his wish only affected him.

“Mom?” Jon asked as he sat down. “Do you notice anything different about me?”

Linda, Jon’s mom, paused what she was doing and turned around to examine him. She took in his blonde hair, green baggy sweater and jeans and shook her head.

“Nope... sorry honey. You’re still the same boi that I saw this afternoon. Why? Did you get a haircut or something?”

Jon shook his head. “Um, no. Just wondering, that’s all.” So his mom thought that what he was wearing was normal. Interesting.

Jon was joined soon after by his siblings. Zoe and Mikey. They seemed normal: Zoe, two years younger and in her goth phase, and Mikey, an average 10-year-old boy. That all changed however, when they sat down. Suddenly, there was a bright flash, blinding Jon. When his vision returned he looked around, then at his two siblings, and gasped.
