Norm kept the stone in his pocket during the rest of the class, just in case. Definitely, there was something odd about it, but he didn't dare to try anything right in the middle of the classroom nor take it out of his pocket.
Time passed and Miss Tuttle didn't come back from the Principal's office and everyone was dismissed early. Going through the halls, Norm couldn't stop thinking about the incident with Karyn, and how she reacted just after he wished her to shut up.
"Maybe you can control someone with it?" he thought, but dropped the idea. Karyn seemed like she couldn't open her mouth, but she could still make any sound. It was all very strange.
Still playing with the stone in his pocket, he went to his locker and opened it. Or at least, he tried to open the combination lock without any success. He sighed and rolled his eyes, trying the one at his left, opening it.
"And this is every day..." he muttered, putting his things away "Sometimes I wish my locker could be set apart from the others easily."
The next second, he noticed the slightest gleam from the stone he was holding in his hand, and the sudden and drastic change in his locker. From one part, it was not the same worn out gray anymore, like the other lockers, but bright pink. Second, drawings of fairies and ponies appeared all over it.
Surprised, he dropped the stone. It looked like it belonged to a little girl! Truth be told, he was sure now he would not try to open other people's lockers by mistake, but he didn't mean like this!
"The wish! That's whats causing this!"
"Shit, the stone! I got to fix it!" Norm frantically thought, looking for the stone. Luckily, it was just a meter away and picked it up. Just as he was getting up, Biff and some jocks from the football team passed by his side colliding with him and pushing him into the ground.
"Hey, be careful, freak! Look where you step or else you are going to trip over!" laughed Biff and his friends, leaving Norm on the ground, clenching the stone.
"Well, then I wish you were the one that had to look where you step to not trip over!" Norm said angrily, as he stood up.
Biff turned over to face Norm, "What did you just-" he began, but was cut off abruptly as he fell over the floor with a loud thud, stopping all the nearby activity. With nothing hurt but his own pride and a sprained ankle, he tried to get up as the people gathered around him and Norm.
"Fuck!! You dimshit, you really hope this is nothing serious or you are going to regret it" shouted at Norm.
"Hey dude, what the fuck...?" said one of his friends.
"What the hell do you mean?" barked Biff holding his ankle, instantly noticing something completely amiss. Looking down in shock, he could see that instead of the sneakers he was wearing, his feet were clad in a pair of open toe sandals with many straps and a very high heel. To add to his humiliation, his toenails were painted a deep red, matching with his new shoes.
Some laughs echoed in the crowd that Biff encounter with Norm and his posterior fall had gathered, until someone shouted "Nice shoes, 'Biffy', will you model them for me too?" and everyone roared with laughter and jokes.
Biff, red of embarrasment and anger, tried to take them off, but found the task quite difficult. Determined, he tried to stand up instead, but failed to mantain any balance in the shoes and fell again, causing even more laughs.
Norm, becoming less than invisible after what happened, just took the stone and place it in his pocket before running away from there.
