Unknown to Karyn, she picked up another 10% of someone's personality when she made her wish. This time it was someone opening their locker near her. That person was Kyla Leeson, a nerdy and shy but very intelligent girl.
"Is this some sort of joke?" Sarah asked, approaching Karyn.
Karyn turned around and saw Sarah. Karyn always admired her, but she never had the guts to tell her. Most of Sarah's friends were very outgoing, but Karyn wasn't. Sarah would never want to be friends with someone that was as shy as she was.
"What do you mean?" Karyn asked, timidly.
"Your clothes. That's what I mean."
Karyn looked down at her clothes. She picked those out because it was something that Sarah always wore and Karyn liked it. She thought that Sarah might be happy that she wanted to be like her, but apparently not.
"You always wear the best stuff, Sarah. I was just ..."
"You know what? Forget it. I have more important things to do than talk with a loser like you."
I'm not a loser, Karyn thought, getting angry.
As Sarah walked away, Kyla closed her locker door. "I don't know why you're trying to be a kiss up. Everyone knows she's a bitch," she said.
"She's not a bitch."
Kyla shook her head and walked away.
"She's not a bitch," Karyn muttered to herself.
