“Babe, ever since we had sex this afternoon, you’ve been acting weird. What’s going on?”
Biff looked around hesitantly. “Can we not have this conversation in the middle of the road? At least pull over or something.”
Sarrah sighed, but hei was right: they couldn’t have this conversation here. A cop might pull them over. Shi switched the hazard lights off and moved on, waiting until shi found a space where she could safely pull over.
After parking the car, Sarrah switched off the engine and twisted in hir seat to look at hir boifriend expectently.
“Well?” She asked, a little irritably.
“I’m not the one who’s acting crazy, Sarah. It’s you. You’re the one who’s dressed like a boy.” Biff neglected to point out the fact that he was wearing Sarah’s top and skirt. He had put them on in a hurry and not realised, he reasoned.
“Dressed...like...a...boi?” Sarrah repeated, clearly confused. “Since when do bois wear tank tops and jeans?” She paused for a moment. “And why are you pronouncing my name funny?”
“What?” Biff blinked.
“It’s pronounced Sarr-uhh, not Sayr-uh. Sarah sounds like a boi’s name.”
“What are you talking about?” Biff was confused. He had never heard of any boy called Sarah before. Biff was starting to think that Sarah was the one who was losing her mind.
Sarrah sighed frustratedly and looked out of the window. That was when shi saw them. A young couple was walking by, they were holding hands and seemed normal enough, at least to Biff, but Sarrah was freaked out.
“Woah,” Shi exclaimed. “Check those two out, I’ve never seen crossdressers out in the open before.”
Biff, not sure what she was getting at, looked at who she was pointing at and frowned.
“They’re not crossdressers Sarah, they’re perfectly normal.”
“Normal?” That boi is wearing jeans and a varsity jacket and that gurl is wearing a dress. What kind of woman would want to wear a dress?” She asked.
“A normal one?” Biff suggested. “This is what I’ve been trying to tell you, Sarah. You’re the one acting weird. Guys aren’t supposed to wear dresses. Girls are.”
Sarrah shook hir head. Shi wasn’t having any of this. Without saying anything, shi got out of the car and walked over to the couple.
“Excuse me…”
