Jon couldn't believe it. He had just wished that he had the "hottest new line of dresses and skirts". Why? He had no idea. He crept to his closet to see the damage. Opening the door he was dismayed. Sure, all his t-shirts and sweaters were there, but instead of pants and jeans he had dresses and skirts. The only thing more bizarre than what he imagined he'd look like was the fact that he had wished for it.
"It must have been a 'first thing in the morning' type thing," he muttered, looking at the stone in his hand, "must have caught me off guard."
He didn't have time to figure out what to do about his clothes, since he was already running a bit behind for school. Besides, he reminded himself, everyone already thinks I dress like this. He wanted to pick the most masculine skirt (if there is such a thing) and a regular t-shirt, but no such luck. Every skirt in the closet was from the hottest new line; either short, tight, sexy, or a combination of the three. He was amazed at how many there were in there. He had never had so many options before.
He chose a denim skirt (deciding it was closest to blue jeans) and a black t-shirt. He had spent quite a few minutes looking at his new outfits, so he was now even more behind than ever. If he didn't get his butt in gear his mother would soon start bugging him.

"Yes mom! I'm up already!"
"Well, I wish you're hurry up and get ready for school!" She shouted at him, stopping and turning back around.
"I wish you'd hurry up and get ready for school!" he said immediately. He dropped the stone, shocked at what had just happened. What had he done? Why did he keep repeating wishes?
He quickly threw on the skirt and shirt and bolted from his room to see the damage. His mother, what he remembered of his mother, had changed. She was now in her room, quickly throwing together an outfit he'd never seen her wear before. It consisted of a baby-t, denim shorts and sandals. She was grabbing a backpack filled with books from beside the bed when she saw Jon watching her from the doorway.
"Jon! Hurry up! We're going to miss the bus if you don't get going! Nice skirt, by the way."
Jon grimaced, wondering how he could fix it. He ran back to his room, grabbed the stone and his bookbag, and ran out to catch up with his mother who, for some reason, was going to school with him.
As they waited for the bus, Jon absentmindedly fingered the stone, trying to figure how to fix their problems, when they were joined by...
