"I wish everyone in town was a devout Baptist like me and my family," Laura said. The stone began to glow, causing her to shut her eyes momentarily. When she opened them, though, she couldn't see anything that was different. But then again, all the changes would be outside, wouldn't they?

She stepped outside, but still didn't see anything out of the ordinary. So she decided to pay her neighbor Meagan O'Donnell a visit. That would clear all of this up right away, since she knew that Meagan was a very sinful person, working at a strip club as a dancer. It was disgusting.

Arriving at Meagan's door, Laura knocked and a moment later it opened, revealing the new Meagan O'Donnell. Gone were her slutty and revealing clothes, thick make-up, and gaudy jewelry. This new Meagan wore no make-up at all and had her hair in a tight severe bun. Her clothing consisted of a white collared blouse beneath a frumpy sweater and an ankle-length skirt. On her feet were flats. The only jewelry Laura could see were a stud earring in each ear and a small gold necklace that fell gently against her sweater, a small cross dangling at the bottom of the chain. She looked like the type of Godly prim and proper woman Laura desired all women to be.

Laura couldn't have been more pleased.

"Yes, Laura?" she asked, wondering why she was there.

"Uh ..." Laura began, not really having a good reason for stopping by. "I just wanted to know if you'll be coming to church on Sunday."

"Well, of course I will," she said, nearly gasping. "Not going would be a sin."

"Oh, yes, of course. Well, I'll see you later." Then she turned around and headed back home, smiling. If that was any indication of what the rest of the town was like ... then she'd be getting something she always wanted.

Meanwhile, Jon and Karyn were heading into the high school, which was now no longer a public school, but rather a Baptist school. All the schools in town were like that now. In fact, now since everyone was a devout Baptist, there were no other churches (or other religious counterparts) except for the one that the Ferguson family original attended. And that church had grown in size to accommodate everyone in town, now taking up an entire block and adding two more floors.

"See you at Bible study, Karyn," Jon said, waving to his friend, who (like all the other girls in school) was dressed in frumpy conservative clothes. Then he headed to his locker to get his books for first period, all the while thinking about what to wish for when he got back home and had a chance to use the wishing stone again, not knowing that the stone was no longer there.
