Jen, now an average teenage girl, paced her room desperately trying to get her stone to work.
"I wish my fingernails were painted blue." Nothing happened. "Dammit! I wish I was listening to the new Kelly Clarkson CD." She heard a vague humming coming from a wall in her room, and it gave her hope. "Maybe it needs to charge up or something," Jen reasoned to herself. That wish had almost worked.
"I wish there was a swimming pool in my backyard," Jen said as she walked over to her window and saw that there was now a pool in her backyard. "Yes, it works again," she said with a sigh of relief.
As Jen got herself ready for class, she thought of what wishes she wanted to make quickly in case the stone's powers went away again. "I wish Sarah McMillan was always nice to me." Jen didn't feel anything, but knew she would have to wait for school to see the effects of that one. Thinking of school, she said "I wish I aced all of my tests in class." One more wish, an immediate one to make sure the other two had worked, "I wish my face was made up in a cute, stylish manner."
Jen looked in her mirror and frowned, seeing that her wish had not worked, then cringed as she heard a scream coming from the bedroom next to hers. "What the hell is up with Zoe? Geez, I wish my sister was more obedient." Jen felt a tingle run through her body, but then looked at her mirror and realized her stone was still broken, and her wish probably hadn't worked. She sighed and went downstairs for breakfast.
