"Well," Athena answered. "First, we'll need to ..."
"I thought you'd be here," someone said from behind them. They turned around and saw Zoe (Athena noticed that her friend was now several years older and had completely black eyes, making her seem inhuman) and behind her were her followers: Jon, Jane, and Sarah. They now looked completely gothic, thanks to their "new" clothes.
"Karyn, stay behind me," Athena said. So Karyn did as Athena said.
"Oh, Athena. What are you going to do? You can't stop me," Zoe said. Then she turned to her followers. "Isn't that right?"
Sarah smiled. "Yes, my Dark Goddess. You are all powerful."
Jon stared at Karyn, leering at her. "They are nothing to you. You will easily lay waste to them."
"Let me do it, my Goddess. Please?" pleaded Jane. "I like killing," she said, grinning.
"Yes, Jane. I know," Zoe said. "But I have different plans for these two."
Jane became disappointed.
Athena turned her head towards Karyn and whispered to her "Hold on tight."
"Huh?" Karyn asked. She wasn't sure what Athena was talking about, but she held onto her anyway.
"Too bad you'll never get the chance. And to think, I was actually friends with you," Athena said.
"You can't do anything to harm me," Zoe said.
"Transfero!" Athena yelled and then both she and Karyn disappeared from the room.
When they reappeared, Karyn asked Athena what just happened. Athena explained that she had cast another spell, this time to relocate themselves. The destination, unfortunately, was always random, so they could have been anywhere.
