Nadine stood in front of her burning house in a tattered black dress, and all she could think about was salamanders.
"Goddess!" She yelled in frustration. quickly putting her hand over her mouth. She meant to say God, but even as she thought of God, a feminine image was in her mind.
As she yelled a wind picked up, and the fires died down. This pleased her, which scared her. Why was she acting like this? when she had first changed she freaked out and tried to burn...HER BOOKS! She ran into the ruins of her house! she had to save the books!
Tina and Paul were just transfixed by the fire. Well more the heat of the fire. Tina, who had a lot more bear skin than normal, felt it, as well as the flicker of the flames, and the danger of there closeness. She found herself moving closer to Paul for comfort, and he found himself turned on by this, and the heat, and the danger. Yeah, they were pretty much going to do it right there. But Nadine didn't notice, and yeah, they weren't going to notice Nadine anytime soon either.
In the ashes of the house Nadine found her two leather bound books, on top of a pile of ashes, glowing. The crappy, "how to be a witch in 30 steps or less" books had gone up in flames, but these saved themselves. Why had she threatened these? She grabbed them and walked out of the rubble, to find Paul with his hand up Tina's shirt.
"Gross! Guys! come on! Modest is hottest! Oh never mind."
She picked up the amulet that she had torn off, if things were going to get this Strange she would need the Goddesses Protection. She put it on and immediately....
