Tiffany left Pastor White's office, feeling much better. She hadn't gotten an answer to what had happened, but she felt more spiritually centered. She let Roger guide her back to the car, no longer as concerned with what happened. She would pray and be shown the way.
As Roger took her back to the Ferguson home, Nadine had made her way there as well, trying to figure out what was going on. When she arrived, Laura was there, reading a book, wearing a thick pair of glasses.
"What are you doing home in the middle of the day?" Laura asked her.
"Something happened to me," Nadine told her. "I blacked out, and then came to in the Assistant Principal's house...wearing his clothes. It was either something evil...or someone pulling an evil joke..." For some reason, she was starting to lean toward the prank side.
Laura adjusted her glasses. "If someone was playing a joke on you, they played the same one on me...I woke up in the room of a teenage boy...and when I got here, some horrid woman was wearing your clothes."
"Maybe there is evil in town," Nadine said. "We need to do something about this," she said.
They both heard the sound of a car pulling up. "There's Roger. I hope he hasn't been caught up in this. It isn't like him to vanish without word."
Roger entered, Tiffany on his arm, still wearing the conservative outfit she'd been wearing since he took her away.
