The blinding flash cleared from Jon's eyes and in a few seconds he could see again. He was still face to face with Leonard, whose expression had changed from anger to confusion. But that wasn't the only change. Jon could definitely tell Leonard was wearing makeup. And instead of a t-shirt he was wearing a familiar taupe cardigan over a white camisole. The exact same thing Leonard's mother Nancy was wearing.

He looked down and... wait a second. He wasn't wearing a skirt anymore! He was wearing a shirt and khakis! Not exactly what he'd been wearing before the change but at least he wasn't dressed like Nancy anymore. Wait, whose clothes were these anyway?

"Oh, I'm sorry honey. I didn't mean to snap at you," Leonard suddenly said, now looking completely apologetic. "You're always just so secretive of your tinkering."

"I just wanted to see what you were working on. Here you go," Nancy said. At the same moment Leonard immediately handed the remote to Jon.

Did... did they think he was Leonard now? He remembered - clearly now - that his outfit was exactly what Leonard had been wearing seconds ago. Somehow instead of merging Leonard into a third Nancy, he swapped places with Jon. Who was now in Leonard's life? This was getting confusing. He looked up at Leonard who was now smiling.

"Uh, that's ok... mom. It's uh, a work in progress anyway," Jon said

He looked at the remote and tried to think of a way to get things back to normal. But... there were no memories to be found. When he was Nancy it was hard NOT to think just like her, her memories swirling and mixing with his own. But there was nothing of Leonard in his mind. When he thought the name Jon, he knew it was his own. He knew these weren't his clothes, that this wasn't his house. His mind was totally back to normal. Which meant he had no idea how this remote worked.

Ted's voice called from up the stairs, "Honey, I'm having ice cream for dessert! You want some?"

Nancy immediately spun around and answered. "No thanks sweetie, you know I'm on a diet!"

"And you should be watching what you eat too, dear!" Leonard added, then he turned to Jon, "What about you, honey?"

"Uh, maybe later."

Nancy and Leonard both smiled and headed up the stairs. Jon stared after them, noticing that Leonard's body language had completely changed. Is that how he'd been acting moments ago? Was Leonard having the same internal struggle he'd been having? He didn't appear nearly as confused. Either way, Jon figured, it served him right for his arrogance.

He looked around Leonard's work area. There had to be a set of instructions, or notes, or something that would give him a clue about how this remote thing worked. But nothing stood out. Maybe he kept his notes somewhere else? He didn't want to mess with the remote too much without knowing how it worked. But he'd have to find some way to get him and Leonard back to their original lives. And what about the other people Leonard said he'd merged?
