At once, Jon came up with a plan.
Jon did not know who had taken the original stone and switched it with the Identity Stone with his name on it, nor did he know why. Could the person be trusted with the original stone that could be used by anyone? Jon wasn't sure.
Jon figured there were really only two things he could do about the dilemma of the original stone. He could wish to find out who switched the original stone with the Identity Stone, or he could just wish the original stone back.
Jon decided he was going to wish for the original stone back. Once the original stone was back, he would lock it up in a box and only bring it out for emergencies or situations that required someone other than Jon to make a wish. The Identity Stone with Jon's name on it, after all, worked the same way with the exception of the fact that it had Jon's name on it and only Jon could use it.
So Jon decided to make a wish. "I wish the original wishing stone would appear in front of me."
He then awaited the result. Would the wish work?
