As they entered the room Jenny was standing over an opened trap door and peering down.
"So what do you guys think is down there?" she said as she used her phone as a flashlight to illuminate the hole. "It only seems to drop about 5 feet then there seems to be a tunnel."
"I don't know what is but we're checking it out." Sarah said as she stepped up to the hole.
"I not even gonna try this time just don't do anything stupid." David resigned.
"Aww thanks for the vote of confidence bro." and with that Sarah dropped down and diapered out of sight. After a few seconds she came back with an excited look on her face. "You guys have got to see this, its like a science lab."
"No way...." Maddie said as she dropped in quickly after. One by one the rest followed with David tagging behind even though he needed to duck a little to fit in the hallway. But it quickly opened up through a door to a large room that looked like it was straight out of a sci fi novel. Up against the wall there were two large pods connected to each other through a connection of wires. Those wires wrapped around the room to a computer in the corner. The computer looked as if one day it may have been high end but now seemed out of date. The walls had boxes stacked against them where bookcases were not and papers and books were scattered throughout the room on tables and the floor.
"Holy shit who put this here?" Tim asked aloud.
"No idea. You think that computer still works?" Maddie said as she sat at the desk. After pressing a key the screen slowly hummed to life and a massive amount of commands appeared on the screen. "Weird. I wonder how long ago these got put in. How is this place even getting power?"
"It shouldn't be. Though I guess it shouldn't be here at all." Tim answered as he joined her behind the desk. "Weird these commands just seem to be short. I guess there are pre-programmed things its calling. Strange names for the programs though. Look at this one "Transfer, entry: Weight" and "Drain, entry: Calculus" what do you think those mean?"
"I've got no idea what you nerds are talking about. What do you think these things are for?" Jenny puzzled as she walked up to one of the large pods on the other side of the room. Suddenly as she approached with a great Whoosh the door to the pod opened and showed its empty interior with a large button flashing.
She stepped inside and inspected the button.
"Jenny!! What are you doing get out of there we don't know what that thing is!" Maddie exclaimed as she rushed towards her.
"Wha?!?!" startled Jenny turned around and with a Slam the door closed behind her as she accidentally pressed the button.
She peered through the glass as she heard a mechanical voice say.....
