After everyone had gotten settled in and some tempers had calmed down the group met in the cabins free space.
"So what do you guys want to do first?" David asked. "The fire wood or mark off the camp. I figure marking off the camp should be easier and we can grab some wood on the way."
"I don't know about you guys but I'm gonna check out that condemned cabin." Jenny said with a devilish smile.
"Oh thank god someone else wants to do that. I'm coming with." Sarah said immediately.
"Wait, wait, wait." David said standing in front of the door. "That's the one thing that May told us not to do. She seemed super serious about it. Don't go breaking that rule day one. This is a day 20 thing to do they might kick us out for something like that."
"Sure I'm in." Tim spoke up. 'Whats the worst that could happen. Best case scenario is they send me out of this hellhole.'
"See that's three against one. Majority rules so lets do this. You coming sis?" Jenny asked.
"I guess... whats the worst that could happen?" Maddie said passively.
"No way your're in on this as well?!?" David said looking at Maddie.
"Sure David what's the worst that could happen? What are you scared of an overgrown cabin?" She said raising an eyebrow at him. Staring back at all four of them David dejectedly stepped out of the way and slowly followed keeping and eye out for anyone watching.
As they approached the cabin the cut away wildlife started to rise up and they had to be more and more careful of their step. When they got there they saw it was pretty much as May had said. It was a cabin that looked very much like theirs with a roof that showed signs of rot and walls that needed a new coat of paint.
"I wonder if that door is still open?" Sarah said as she climbed up to it.
"Are you serious!?! No! That thing looks like its gonna fall in on itself at any moment. No wonder they don't want anyone over here." David said.
"OMG are you gonna worry about everything?!? This thing looks sturdy enough. Besides its probably locked." Sarah said as she turned the handle and pushed..... and the door slowly opened. "Not gonna lie. Did not expect that. A real oversight if you ask me. I wonder what's in here" she said as she poked her head in.
"God damn it Sarah don't go in there." David said as he climbed up to the door.
"To late!" she taunted as she ducked into the cabin as David quickly followed behind. The other three members looked at each other and with a shrug followed them into the cabin.
The inside of the cabin to Sarah was... how to put it, massively underwhelming. It just looked like their cabin except some how worse. Some pieces of the floor had holes in them and the paint was peeling from the walls.
"See its a dump now can we leave?" David said.
"We're here already might as well have a look around." Penny said as she entered behind him.
"Whatever I'm gonna keep an eye out." David said as he looked out the door for anyone else.
"Oh nobody is gonna come back here besides if they did they would see your big head looking out the door." Sarah teased. "Now come one lets check this place out."
"Uhhh guys. I think I found something." Jenny said from one of the rooms. The others quickly went to see what it was and found her in the room.............
