Audrey felt her hand clench around the remote, pressing several small buttons at once. She really didn't have the patience for this right now. Why couldn't Josh just take some responsibility?
"I don't have time for this, honey. You left dirty dishes in the living room and laundry all over the floor! I need to make dinner, so you need to clean up after yourself!"
"Yeah yeah, I just need to finish storming this base!" He said, not taking his eyes off the screen while blowing away enemies in a spray of blood and guts. He shoveled another handful of chips into his mouth, causing crumbs to fall everywhere.
Audrey was at her wit's end. "Enough! Young man, turn off that game and start cleaning up NOW!" As she said that, her hand clenched around the remote again, which was pointed right at her son. As her thumb hit the big button in the center, the entire room was engulfed in light.
Half a second later the light had cleared, but Josh was no longer sitting in his bean bag chair. He was now standing, facing Audrey, with an odd look on his face. And his outfit had changed completely. Instead of his usual ratty jeans and t-shirt, a pair of stretchy yoga pants hugged his hips and a pink tank top was stretched across his flat chest. It was exactly what Audrey was wearing. His normally short brown hair was tied up in a messy bun, just like Audrey's.
Audrey couldn't believe what she was seeing. She had squeezed the remote and now her son was dressed just like her! This couldn't be possible... was this the "cloning" it was supposed to do? But Josh still looked like Josh... She looked down at the remote, its small screen was blinking and scrolling all kinds of information which she couldn't make sense of. Then she looked back at Josh, who opened his mouth to speak...
