Biff was in third period PE, and while people involved in the current chain were more likely to notice what was going on, he had failed to notice Tim Brant wandering off. He was focused on his own problems. He was getting rather easily winded as he tried to do laps, the gym teacher yelling at him and telling him to catch up. The pancakes he'd had that morning seemed to weigh in his stomach and he was sweating rather easily.
Jon was sitting in one of his classes, mind wandering and not paying very much attention to what the teacher was saying. His back was to Sarah, who he normally didn't speak to. Sarah was trying to wrap her mind around what happened today, and didn't notice that her hair was not the long blond it had been before, that it was turning a noticeable dyed red.
It was at this point, having changed, but moving rather slowly, Melissa Smith showed up at school. She was wearing a thick pair of glasses, being unable to see without them.
