"You want to know what?" Jon's mother asked.
"I want to know ..." explained Jon. "... if Grandpa ever mentioned anything to you that had to do with magic. Magic rocks, magic lamps, magic spells ... anything of that sort at all."
"I don't know," she replied. "Let me think. Oh, yeah, magic. Well, he talked about a magic stone." She laughed. "He made it sound like it was real, but I could tell when he was exaggerating."
"But he wasn't exaggerating," Jon said. "The magic stone is real. Just look at this," he said, showing her the Delay Stone. "It's not the one Grandpa had, but it almost does the same thing."
His mom took the stone from him and looked closely at it.
