Karyn turned her attention back to Jon. "Jon! Don't use the stone!"
"What? I didn't mean to.... oh, shit. I made a wish by accident, didn't I?"
"Yeah," said Karyn. "From what I've seen, that stone has a delay... which means someone is going to become your girlfriend."
"What do I do?" said Jon.
"Look at me," said Karyn. "Look at me until the wish starts to work."
"Karyn, I like you, but I can't force you to be my girlfriend!"
"It's better me than someone else!" she replied.
Jon wasn't sure what to do, but thought about it and agreed, looking only at Karyn. He wondered... would Karyn have agreed to be his girlfriend anyway?
But soon, Karyn's older wish went off. She had wished Jon would go back to his physics class. So Jon disappeared and reappeared in physics class, away from Karyn. And a few seconds later, the wish that "you" would be Jon's girlfriend went off, while he was looking at....
