Lonna Tran jumped out of her mother's car around the corner from the school after making sure none of her friends could see her. “Thanks for the lift Mom see you tonight.” She said as she turned to head to the school as fast as she could. It was not that she wanted to get to school quickly this morning she just didn’t want a lecture from her mother about tiding her room again. She had more than her fair share of them over the last few weeks.
She looked back from the corner to see her mother's car pull away, she had gotten away with it for another morning. A few minutes later she entered the school grounds. One day closer to the weekend she thought. There was a good thing about it being a Tuesday that was that she didn’t have Chemistry and Ms. Tran today.
No sooner did the thought appear in her mind did Lonna remember that she was really Lonna Tran and not as she now looked like Lauren Rodriguez. How had she forgotten that fact? She had been awake for almost an hour now and for almost all of that, she had forgotten all about the events of the day before. She had spent the day so far as if she had always been Lauren Rodriguez 18-year-old student and not as she was Lonna Tran the chemistry teacher at the school she was standing in front of.
She then took a second and looked down at herself and what she was wearing. An olive green tank top and a pair of jean shorts. The outfit was one that she had seen Lauren wear to school before and she back then she despaired at what passed as acceptable for school these days. It hadn’t been that long ago she had been at school herself and she had attempted to wear something like this then she was sure she would have been sent home to change.
Another thought and more pressing matter now entered her head. She had to speak to Ms. Tran and the sooner she did it the better. She was starting to lose herself in her new life as Lauren Rodriguez and sooner she spoke to Ms. Tran the sooner she might be able to get back to her own life before she lost herself completely. With that thought in foremost in her head, she turns to the school building and began the journey to the classroom that she had taught chemistry in.
