But whoever Jon was supposed to be, according to Nadine, he wasn't right now. Should he stand up to this new Jay, or flee?
He decided on fleeing. It didn't matter if he wasn't the Jon Jay was expecting, Jay looked like he could beat the crap out of him at the moment. He didn't run though, he tried to make it look like he was walking off purposefully.
Jay came up to them. "Was that Gibson?"
"Who?" Nadine asked, playing dumb.
Jay looked them all over. Kyla was shifting from foot to foot nervously, Stephanie was looking rather confused. "You, I know," he told Nadine. "You two...look familiar..." He said to the other two. "I thought I knew everyone in this school."
"She's Kevin Wright's cousin," Nadine lied, pointing to Stephanie. "Can you believe Mr. Prep has a Goth cousin?"
Jay's eyes narrowed. He knew something was off, but he wasn't sure what.
Meanwhile, Jon went out a side entrance and nearly bumped into his sister. "Zoe....you're...normal," he sighed with relief. At least for her.
"What are you talking about? Something weird is going on, Jon. Athena and Zelda are old. Zelda just dropped out this girl about my age. She asked for help...I think she's Tina Shepherd, but she's black. This is really fucked up."
"You think that's weird? Nadine Ferguson looks pretty close to Goth, Jay Duncan is a bully, and Sarah McMillan changed races too. I had to get out of there because Jay is gunning for me for some reason."
She looked at her brother, confused. "I wish Athena was here...the real one...thus sounds like some kind of curse or something."
