To propose a generic idea...
Julie peeked over the edge of her cubicle. She could see two of her coworkers through the clear glass of the conference room in the midst of a heated discussion.
She slumped back down into her chair and adjusted her glasses up the bridge of her nose. Julie knew she wasn't the most attractive woman in the office. After all, she could stand to lose a few pounds. It wasn't as if her job gave her a lot of chances for exercise, working at a desk. She didn't know how her co-worker, Sally, managed to stay so fit.
She leaned over the other wall. "What do you think they're talking about?" She asked Warren. She was pretty friendly with him.
"Well, it can't be good. The rumor is that someone is losing their job."
"What?" Julie said. "Who told you that?"
"It's all around. But...you know half these things turn out to be nothing..."
Julie nodded, not so sure, and sat back down.
