"So explain it in detail. What happened?"
"Well Doctor, I was sitting in my car in the driveway putting on my lipstick when suddenly something strange came over me."
"Strange? Please explain."
"An emptiness. It was like suddenly the most severe depression swept over me. My life felt meaningless."
"Okay. Continue."
"I got out of my car and stood in the front yard. Nothing seemed to matter anymore."
"Did you feel suicidal?"
"No. Not in the least bit. I felt sad but free."
"Okay."
"I stood in the yard for a few minutes in a daze. The world seemed blurry and I couldn't make out my surroundings. I blinked and rubbed my eyes and suddenly, I felt a cool breeze climb up my legs and settle... up... well... you know... up there. I've never felt that relaxed before. Everything seemed perfect. But that's when I looked down and saw that I was completely naked... and... and...
I don't remember how it happened."
"You blacked out?"
"I must have. But it didn't feel like I blacked out. Things just got blurry for a moment. It was so weird."
"Are you on any medications or where you under the influence of a substance at the time? Please be honest or I won't be able to help you. You have nothing to fear here. Everything you say is confidential. Where you taking drugs?"
"No. No Doctor, never. Not at all."
"Hmmm."
"The strangest thing isn't the black out though. THe strangest part is afterwards. I looked up and saw the kid across the street looking at me through his bedroom window. It seemed like he'd been watching the whole time. For some reason I didn't feel scared or anything. I felt fine with it. I waved to him, got back in my car, and drove away. It wasn't until today that I realized how strange it all was."
"Now that is interesting. Do you know your neighbor?"
"Just a little bit. He's a 16 year old kid. I think he has a girlfriend named Karyn. I haven't talked to him all that much."
"Well Victoria, I suggest you visit this neighbor and ask him if he can fill you in on what exactly happened during your blackout."
"Do you think so?"
"I think it's important. But have someone go with you. Bring a close friend. You must be very careful. He might have something to do with your blackout period and you'll want someone with you just in case."
"Okay Doctor. I'll do it first thing tomorrow. I'll have my friend come with me."
"Good luck. I hope he has some answers for you."
