We both made it up to my room. I could hear an awful lot of giggling coming from the direction of Zoe's room and didn't want to think about what it was she and Sarah were really doing in there. I had to get to the stone and fix what it had done to her - and to me.
I went to my bedstand - the last place I remembered having it and looked around. Alarm clock, cell phone charger, lamp, but no stone. It wasn't sitting on my nightstand like I had thought.
"You find it Jon?" Karen's concerned voice came from behind me.
"No." I replied, moving the lamp aside and looking for it, "I might have knocked it down when I collapsed earlier. Help me search."
Karen nodded and got down on her hands and knees, looking for the stone. I took a moment to glance back and saw her staring at me from behind, "Did you see something?"
"No," she shook her head, "Just got distracted. Sorry Jon. I don't know what's going on."
"Well find the stone," I replied, a little more irritated than I had intended, "We need it to fix things."
