Mikey was playing in the schoolyard with his friends when he heard a noise from the bushes. "Psst," a familiar voice said.
He approached it, recognizing it as his big sister, Zoe. She pulled him into the bushes. "They selected me for punishment," she said. "But I'm not walking in there...I'm going to skip time. You want to come?"
"What about Mom? Jon?"
"Who knows what Jon got punished with...and I called Mom's office...they are punishing her too. We're pretty much orphans, Mikey." She looked at him. "Do you trust me?" She asked.
"Yeah..."
She grabbed his hand. "I took all of Mom's emergency cash and packed you a bag. Come on..."
They headed off.
