Jon woke up in a very familiar place, and his eyes shot open as he sat up in his parents' bed, looking at the master bedroom in his own house. Dread settled in his stomach as he slowly realized what this might mean. Standing up, he started at the sensation of weight on his bare chest, and slowly made his way to the master bathroom.
His naked mother looked back at him from the mirror. He saw her face scrunch up in disgust before he closed his eyes, suddenly hyperaware of a thousand different strange sensations, flesh and weight where there was none before, different distribution of such, countless subtle differences from the way his body used to be. He felt old. Turning back to the bedroom, he rooted through the drawers and cupboards, finding an outfit he thought to be acceptable: plain bra and panties, and a brown house dress with faint leaf patterns on it. His mother didn't wear pants.
Jon tried to ignore the new assault of strange sensations from the loose, open material and the undergarments which fit in ways he'd never before experienced, as he walked down the hall, not bothering to do anything with his brown bedhead of hair. "Jon?" a voice called from behind him, and he turned to face his sister, Zoe.
"Yes?" he replied in a foreign voice that felt almost as if it were tickling his throat.
"So it is you," Zoe said, sounding breathless. "This is so weird. Mom is gone. We don't know where she went, or why she changed your punishment at the last minute so you'd look like her. You need to act like her, too, you know. There's a little goggles-and-headphones set on the table by Mom's and Dad's bed that'll help, just put it on. It's a hypnosis machine," she finished, smiling faintly. Jon wondered why she was being so helpful; something seemed wrong.
"So I just put it on?" he asked, apprehensive about doing anything she said.
"Yeah. If you don't, then the cops will know and you'll be forced to anyway. You only need to do it once. It's not going to erase your whole personality, I don't think, but it will help you fit into being Mom more easily." With that said, Zoe marched past Jon. He caught a glimpse of a smile on her face, but just shook his head as he went back into the room, picking up the combined headphones and goggles that were indeed sitting on the table.
He put them on easily, as if they were made to fit his new head, and his vision went black for just a moment as he heard a whirring click, then a voice from the headphones said, "Rehabilitation complete. Please remove Hypnotron 3.0."
