"It was almost six months of physical therapy," she answered. "But it was worth it. I can use my new arms better than I could use my old ones." She opened up the file and said, "Now, I'm sure that you're wondering how you're going to be transformed. Its different for everyone. Now let's see, you are going to be changed into a...woman."
"A woman?" Jon paled. This, from the sound of it, was not what he'd expected.
"Yes. You see, using a complex batch of chemicals, You will become a fully functional Female, then with the use of hypnosis you will act like one. Losing years of your life and your gender. But they set up a life for you. New identity cards and such."
Jon just stared at her, wondering what the stone could possibly have been thinking when it came up with this. "It's definitely bizarre," he mumbled.
"What was that, dear?" the nurse asked sweetly. When he shook his head, she continued. "Well, this is one of our most stable procedures, even with males, so it will all be done outpatient. Of course, you'll be sleeping during most of it, that's a side effect of the procedure. Then about two weeks of hypnosis and you'll be all set."
"So will I look exactly like the woman you are making me, or will I look like myself as an older woman?" Jon asked
"Well," she laughed, "If it all goes correctly, you'll be yourself, only female. With everything that entails."
Jon nodded slowly, close to tears. "How ol-" He began, but was interrupted by a man coming in and giving Jon a shot in his arm without preamble. His words came out slurred as he tried again, and he was distantly aware that he was falling over before everything went black.
