Startled, I turned to look up into the green eyes of a tall young man dressed in a simple black outfit.
"Lost yer way, m' dear?" he asked me with a warm smile. His handsome tanned face seemed to radiate with beauty, and I realized with surprise that I was now attracted to men. How very strange...
"Oh, no," I assured him, remembering to roleplay. "I was on my way to meet someone, but got distracted by the sights. I only recently arrived here, you see."
"Perhaps ya would desire a guide during yer stay here, miss?" he asked with a wink. "There are some places where it's not wise for a respectable lady like yerself to be wanderin' alone." Although he spoke in a rough and common voice, each word was very deliberate as if chosen carefully.
"That would be kind of you, sir," I found myself accepting with a cute giggle. I absently ran my fingers through my long brown hair as I glanced at his muscular arms wondering if I had accepted because of this strange new attraction. Deciding to intoduce myself to him, I smiled and said, "My name is Misty."
The man bowed respectfully, replying, "I am Shazan of the lower districts. It's a pleasure to meet ya."
"It's great meeting you, Shazan," I returned, looking back at his muscular arms. A sudden curiosity got the better of me, and I glanced down at his crotch. Seeing the buldge that was there made me tingle with a strange excitement, and I looked quickly back up to his face. His smirk made it evident he had seen my gaze, and I felt my cheeks become quite warm.
"Perhaps ya would like to join me for a quick drink," he offered with a suggestive wink. "I know a fine inn not too far at all from here..."
"N-no thank you," I quickly denied, wondering what I'd gotten myself into. "I have to meet my friend..."
"Another time then," he promised to my dismay. "Where are ya to meet this friend of yers?"
"Oh, she's only a few blocks that way," I answered, gesturing with a very feminine flick of the wrist. "Would you be so kind as to escourt me?"
"Aye, t'would be a pleasure." Shazan wrapped his arm around my waist and began to walk me in Suzie's direction. His touch excited me, but I hoped I hadn't given him the idea that I wanted romance from him. THAT was a storyline I could do without. "So what does yer friend look like?" Sazan interrupted my thoughts as we strolled along.
"She's an elf," I said, beginning to describe Susie's normal apearance.
"An elf, eh?" he said when I'd finished. "An odd friend fer a human lass. How was it the two o' ya met?"
I panicked. We hadn't worked out our collective backstories yet. "That is none of your concern," I said sharply to make up for lack of a history. We could come up with some reasonable explaination for my response later. "Sorry, Shazan, it's just... personal." There, that worked.
"Fair enough, dear Misty," he said, not put off at all. "We all have secrets, don't we?"
