Lisa walked home. But, lost in her thoughts, she took a different route ... and didn't notice until it was too late.
She walked down one street, then took a right and walked down another. She was thinking about what she was going to tell her parents and her friends. They obviously wouldn't believe her if she told them about the medallion. Maybe she should actually show them? She shook her head, thinking that maybe that wouldn't be such a great idea, not yet anyway. She was thinking of just telling a lie. It would be far more believable than a magic medallion that could turn you into other people, either fully or (in her case) partially.
She kept thinking to herself, then made another right and walked up to the house. But it wasn't her house. When she got to the front door, she finally looked up and realized that.
"Wait a minute. Where am I?" she muttered. But after looking around, she realized that she knew exactly where she was. This was the house belonging to Sydney Williams. She was just here the previous day when she briefly thought about buying the ankh necklace at the yard sale. But why did she come here? She was walking home, wasn't she?
The front door suddenly flew open, startling her, and Sydney's mother Brenda came into view.
