“Hi Lonna, how has your day gone. No disruptive students, I hope.” Mary asked Lauren. “Not too bad. They were not that bad today.” Lauren replied hoping that she was saying the right thing. As much as it felt good to talk to Mary for some reason, she knew she needed to get rid of her to be able to find Lonna so they could try and fix whatever this was. That was if she still wanted to given Lonna behavior earlier.
“Are you ready to go?” Mary asked the bewildered Lauren. “To go?” she answered. “I know it’s a pain waiting for your car to get fixed. I promised you a lift home this morning to save you calling a cab again.” Mary replied to the newest member of her staff.
“That’s so kind of you. I don’t want to take you out of your way. Lauren answered the Assistant Principal. “Nonsense asked I told you this morning you are on my way. Besides what are friends for? Let's go.” Mary answers the young woman in front of her as she turned to usher her out of the room.
