Lonna had risen from the desk she was at as the bell had rung and picked up the book she had been reading and left the classroom. She fully intended to find Lauren and apologize for what had happened earlier and see if she had come up with an answer. After all, she was a chemistry teacher. Lonna stopped dead in her tracks realizing that she had slipped again. She needed to sort this mess out before she lost herself completely but first she had to put the book she was carrying in her locker.
No, she shook herself back to her senses and changed her direction and headed to the classroom that had been hers when she was the teacher.
Lonna reached the corridor and started along it only to be stopped by seeing Mrs. Elliott the Assistant Principal walking into the classroom where Lonna knew that Lauren would be. She would have to wait a while longer before speaking to Lauren. There was no way she could speak to her about their shared problem with another teacher in the room. Lonna sighed and lent against the wall waiting for the Assistant Principal to leave the room.
The silence was broken by the words “Hi babe”. Lonna raised her head to see Jake her no Lauren's boyfriend walking towards her with a huge smile on his face. “You waiting for me?” he asked her. Lonna’s heart was beating faster than it had for most of the afternoon. It had seemed that as part of Lauren’s life she had gained her feelings for Jake no matter how hard she tried to deny it.
