*The spirit watched as this vile creature, this WOMAN entered its domain. How dare she? This home was the spirit's playground, its sacred canvas of feminization, not a place for the likes of her.
It knew instinctively that this female had a connection to Jon, one that could endanger the progress the spirit had made, one that could bring Jon back from the oncoming change. This would not do. It had to move fast.*
"Hello?" the spirit heard the woman call. It hovered above her, watching her explore the house. She was about to move into the living room and discover her friend's body, something that could not happen. Reaching out with it's power, the spirit caused a book to fall over in Jon's room. It worked. The woman turned from discovering Jon's body and started up the stairs.
"Jon?" *she called again. The spirit had no sense that the woman's calling could wake its thralls from their slumber, but it didn't want to risk it. The spirit was trying something new, using a computer simulation to play with its prey, something it hadn't done before. It didn't want to risk losing all its hard work.
When the woman reached the top of the stairs, she paused, as if she could tell that something was off. Her ear tilted, as if she was listening intensely, she held her breath. Then, she called out again, this time her voice much more quiet, much more nervous.*
"Jon? It's me Karyn. Is everything alright?" the woman, Karyn, called, getting quieter with every word, "Should I call the police?"
At the sound of that last question, the spirit reacted with fervor.
Something was wrong. Standing at the top of Jon's stairs, Karyn could tell that something, she didn't know what, had happened. Why had the door been open? Where was everybody? She had the uneasy feeling that, while she couldn't see anything, Karyn was being watched.
"Jon? It's me Karyn." she called as bravely as she could muster, "Is everything alright? Should I call the police?"
Karyn hadn't even blinked when it hit her. Like something out of a horror movie, from all sides, bed sheets sprung from the rooms and wrapped themselves around her legs, arms, torso. She tried to scream, but as she opened her mouth a sheet shoved itself inside. Soon she found herself, terrified, being lifted from the ground and carried down the hall.
THUMP
Karyn was unceremoniously dumped on the master bed, the one belonging to Jon's parents. She was completely immobile. Karyn had never felt this level of panic before, this amount of terror. Her heart was racing, her skin sweaty, through-out the house her muffled screams resounded.
Then she spotted, floating through the air, a laptop. On it was an app with the load screen stating that it was a game called Girl World. Karyn had never heard of Girl World, but that didn't matter. She'd never seen a floating laptop, either.
As the laptop came to a stop just before her face, Karyn found the screen almost completely obscuring her vision. Then there was a click as something pressed one of the buttons on the keyboard, then everything went black.
Then everything changed.
