Meanwhile back in the real world Karyn was worried. It was the weekend and she had made plans with Jon to hang out that they but she hadn't heard from her best friend at all since they had finished school.
Karyn thought back to when they had made the plans. Jon had been so excited because his family where leaving him on his own while they went off on some camping trip. Something that Jon wasn't keen on attending.
They had spent all of Friday planning their weekend together. Karyn was going to stop over both Friday night and Saturday night. Jon had promised her that he would ring as soon as his parents had left so that she could come over but he never did.
Karyn had initially assumed that Jon was too tired and had forgotten to call and while that had put a damper on her plans for the evening she didn't mind too much. They had plenty of time to catch up the next day.
Now however Karyn was worried. It was almost the middle of the day and Jon still hadn't rung. Karyn was beginning to think that something was wrong so she decided to investigate.
Jon's house was just down the street from hers so Karyn walked over to his house. She was about to knock on the door when she noticed that it was slightly a jar.
"That's odd." Karyn thought as she gently pushed it open. "Jon never leaves the door open."
"Hello!?" She called out. No one responded but Karyn could have sworn that she heard something coming from Jon's bedroom. "Jon!?" She called out again starting to ascend the stairs.
Had Karyn explored the first floor of the house instead of heading upstairs she might have noticed Jon lying on the sofa dressed in his mother's clothes holding a tablet completely spaced out.
