As Edward watched the boys walk away, he played what happened over and over though his mind. Why the hell were they treating him like that? Wasn't it obvious that he was a man almost three times their age?
For the first time since appearing the restroom, Edward looked down at himself. And that's when he got a shock. His clothes were different! He didn't know when or how it happened, but he was wearing a tight pink girl's T-shirt and a denim miniskirt. How the hell didn't he notice this before? He looked down at his feet and saw that his shoes had also changed. Now he was wearing a pair of what appeared to be open-toe shoes. He took a step forward and wobbled a bit on the three-inch heels. He obviously wasn't wearing these when he fled the restroom. He would have stumbled the entire way. His clothes must have changed afterwards, maybe when he was being approached by those guys. But why? Why would his clothes change like this? Though maybe the more important question should have been "how". Something like this wasn't possible, was it?
He took another step forward and wobbled again. How did women walk in these things? Frustrated, he began to take them off. He'd be barefoot, but at least he could walk without falling over. Maybe then he could find some more appropriate clothes for himself.
But just as he reached down to his right shoe, the school (yes, now he recognized this place as a high school) intercom came on and he heard a man's voice. "Ah ah ah. Keep those shoes on, Edward."
He stopped what he was doing and looked around, trying to find where the voice was coming from. "Who are you? What's going on?"
"Get to your next class, bitch," the voice said.
"Not until you tell me what's happening," Edward said, holding his ground.
"Hmm. It looks like you need some motivation," the voice said. "Oh, I know. How about this?"
