Edward looked at his watch. What was taking his wife so long? The food was getting cold. He stood up from the kitchen table and headed upstairs to their bedroom, but Bethany wasn't there. So, he checked his daughter's room, and that's when he got a shock.
Both his daughter and his wife seemed to be in some sort of daze. Karyn was lying on her bed and Bethany was sitting on the floor, leaning back against the side of the bed.
He sprinted over to his wife and tried to shake her awake, but it was no use. What was happening?
